Compliance Fee

  • Fee Terms

A fixed fee of £79 that becomes payable when a notice of enforcement is sent to the debtor. It is the first fee stage in the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 and applies to all enforcement types: High Court writs, County Court warrants, CRAR, and council tax.

In practice

The compliance fee is added to the debt as soon as the notice of enforcement is issued. If the debtor pays the full amount including this fee within the notice period (minimum 14 clear days), no further fees are incurred. The fee is the same amount under both Table 1 (County Court, CRAR, council tax) and Table 2 (High Court).
