County Court Money Claims Centre

  • Regulatory Bodies

The centralised processing centre operated by HMCTS that handles the issue and administration of money claims in the County Court. The CCMCC is based in Salford and processes claims issued online through Money Claims Online or in paper form.

In practice

Most money claims that lead to enforcement begin at the CCMCC. Once judgement is entered, the creditor can apply for enforcement from the CCMCC or the debtor's local court. For High Court enforcement, the creditor applies to transfer the judgement up under section 42 of the County Courts Act 1984 and then obtains a writ of control from the High Court.
