Table 1 Fees

The fee schedule in Schedule 1 of the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 that applies to County Court warrants of control, CRAR, and council tax recovery. Table 1 has three stages: compliance (£79), enforcement (£247 plus 7.5% over £1,900), and sale (£116 plus 7.5% over £1,900).

In practice

Table 1 fees are generally lower than Table 2 fees because the fixed elements and percentage thresholds differ. VAT applies to CRAR fees (private agents) but not to County Court warrants (civil servant bailiffs) or council tax recovery. The percentage threshold of £1,500 means that debts below this amount attract only the fixed fee at each stage.
