Table 2 Fees

The fee schedule in Schedule 1 of the Taking Control of Goods (Fees) Regulations 2014 that applies to High Court writs of control. Table 2 has four stages: compliance (£79), enforcement stage 1 (£200 plus 7.5% over £1,200), enforcement stage 2 (£520), and sale (£550 plus 7.5% over £1,200).

In practice

Table 2 fees are higher than Table 1 because High Court enforcement is carried out by private HCEOs with greater powers and higher recovery rates. The enforcement stage is split: stage 1 applies when a controlled goods agreement is entered; stage 2 applies if no agreement is made or the agreement is breached. VAT at 20% applies to all Table 2 fees.
