  • Fee Terms

The court fee payable when transferring a County Court judgement to the High Court for enforcement by writ of control. The transfer up fee is prescribed by the Civil Proceedings Fees Order 2008.

In practice

To obtain a writ of control, the creditor must first transfer the judgement to the High Court by filing a certificate of judgement (form N293A) and paying the transfer fee. The fee is added to the amount recoverable from the debtor. Transfer is available for judgements of £600 or more, excluding certain categories such as regulated consumer credit agreements.
