Application Fee

  • Fee Terms

A court fee payable when making an application to the court, including enforcement-related applications such as charging orders, third party debt orders, attachment of earnings, and oral examinations. Application fees are prescribed by the Civil Proceedings Fees Order 2008.

In practice

Application fees vary by type: for example, an application for a charging order, third party debt order, or attachment of earnings each carries its own prescribed fee. Some applications are made without notice (ex parte) and attract a lower fee than applications on notice. The fee is usually recoverable from the debtor as a cost of enforcement.
